Rain showers, cool weather and strong winds wreaked havoc on Friday's opening day of the 38th Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor. So much so that Mother Nature's dark side has forced a change in the schedule.
A suspension of play lasting more than seven hours at the waterlogged Twenty Ten Course in the Usk Valley forced Ryder Cup officials from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean to consider a variety of options to ensure completion of the match-play competition between the USA and Europe.
