Won't you agree, that there is too much repetitive,hyped up news, of a violent nature, shown daily on news programs of most major commercial US TV networks. Seeing and hearing constantly about violence creates violence.
Making more normal, general interest news available to the public would have a beneficial effect. Case in point: most EU, and many other countries TV news programs, contain a proper and healthy mix of entertaining news items. Why can't US networks follow suit ?
