The package includes European recognition of Iran’s right to produce nuclear energy for civilian purposes only which Washington accepts for the first time.

Economic benefits and alternative fuel sources are also offered if Iran permanently gives up nuclear enrichment and the construction of a heavy water reactor. But Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Hossein Moussavian had already rejected the demand Friday, Aug. 5, as negating “Iran’s inalienable right.” Tehran’s decision to resume uranium enrichment at Isfahan is irrevocable, he said, even under the threat of UN sanctions."
