"Iranians shell Kurdish PKK rebel and terrorist stronghold locations in Iraq"

SULAIMANIYAH: Iranian forces shelled Kurdish rebel positions in Iraq for the second day on Monday, forcing dozens of Kurdish families to flee, a rebel leader said. "The Iranians shelled PKK positions from 9 pm (1700 GMT) on Sunday until 5 am (0100 GMT) on Monday," Rustom Judi, a leader of the rebel Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Iraq's northern province of Sulaimaniyah, told AFP. "Dozens of families were forced to leave their homes," he said. "We have casualties," he added, but did not provide further details. On Sunday Iraq's defense ministry said Iranian forces had entered Iraqi territory and shelled PKK positions over a period of 24 hours. "The PKK is considered an outlawed terrorist organization by the US, the EU and Australia. Nevertheless, the PKK has been carrying out attacks from Kurdish controlled territories in Iraq, without the intervention of the "coalition forces"
