The report of World Wildlife Fund (WWF), “Drought in Mediterranean -WWF’s Proposals,” Mediterranean faces a severe drought. The report warns against wasting water in the region. Although the rainfall in the Mediterranean dropped by 20 percent, water demand doubled within the last fifty years. Accordingly, wasteful irrigation techniques and global warming are the two main reasons for the drought.The governments are advised to change their water consumption habits in agriculture.
