Klaas-Jan Huntelaar helped Netherlands to a 2-1 win against Finland by netting a brace in the first 20 minutes of the game. Mikael Forssell pegged a goal back for Finland, but the visitors were unable to restore parity in the Group E encounter. The Dutch started the match brilliantly and needed only seven minutes to break the deadlock. Wesley Sneijder sent in a perfect cross after a corner kick and Huntelaar beat his man to the ball before heading home.
