Turkey: Erdogan and his wife are infected with Omicron

urkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said he is infected with Covid-19, but has no severe symptoms.

“After experiencing mild symptoms, my wife and I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, we have a mild infection that we learned was the Omicron variant,” the 67-year-old president said on Twitter.

“We will continue our work from home. We look forward to your prayers,” Erdogan added.
