US better watch out. This might be the ideal time, with political  chaos, and a slipping, fractured, foreign western support abroad, for the "Alliance of Evil" - Russia, N.Korea, Iran, Cuba, and other potential supporters, to attack the USA.

President Donald Trump is cutting short his Florida holiday and returning to Washington on Thursday, one day earlier than expected, for reasons the White House didn't explain.

The White House announced the abrupt change in the president's schedule late Wednesday, hours after Republican Missouri Senator Josh Hawley said he will raise objections next week when Congress meets to affirm President-elect Joe Biden's victory in the November election.

Our planet - Just Evil Terrorists? or do we live on a planet populated by Evil People?

Once again, the world has been shocked by another evil terrorist attack, committed by a radical, religiously and politically brainwashed human being, killing many innocent people. .

This act deserves nothing but condemnation - but when you really start thinking about evil, isn't there evil all around us, and unfortunately also in all of us.

Isn't it evil, when governments invest more in their military, than in universal healthcare, or in taking care of the environment? 

Isn't it evil, to carpet bomb and kill hundreds of thousands of civilians in proxy wars, and calling  the casualties "collateral damage ? "

Isn't it evil, when corporations consider profits more important than the health of human beings? re:industrial pollution; the genetic manipulation of foods;  the production and sale of pesticides, all of these having caused a number of health effects, which today are linked to a range of serious illnesses and diseases in humans, from respiratory problems to cancer ?

Of course many people reading this will say: "that is all good and well, but I am certainly not an evil person".

Really?  what about : jealousy, lies. cheating, gluttony,intimidation, lust, fornication, pride, - all evil acts .Can anyone honestly say they never had anything to do with any of those evils listed ?

Evil is evil, lesser, greater, middling - makes no difference. The degree is arbitrary, the definition blurred. If one would have to choose between one evil and another, It is better not to choose at all.

Christians, in contrast to all other beliefs, know, they are not alone in their sufferings and struggles against evil. They know they are all in this battle together, and that everyone will experience trials. 

"Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time” (Revelation 12:12).

If we consider the whole picture, specially now we get bombarded daily by all kinds of alarming news, there should be no doubt in our minds, that this is Satan’s world and planet, rather than God’s. Paul even refers to these times as “this present evil age” (Galatians 1:4).

However, Satan will not always dominate planet earth. Biblical prophecy reveals that an astounding series of events will shake our world, as never before and usher in a new age—a 1,000-year era under the reign of Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:10; Luke 21:31).

God never promised that believers wouldn’t have suffering, but He did promise to be with us through it.    Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

Is the Trump White House evil or just stupid? The answer to that burning question is, well, both. In Monday’s column, Paul Krugman takes as his subject the incompetence piece, which is evident in matters both large and seemingly trivial.

Though when you can’t be bothered to learn how you should address the Prime Minister of Japan, or the relatively simple fact that in Asia, the order of names is reversed, it seems more than a little representative of a certain incurious attitude. Trump addressed Abe Shinzo as Prime Minister Shinzo, the equivalent of calling Trump President Donald.  “Trivial?” 

Krugman asks. “Well, it would be if it were an isolated instance. But it isn’t.” In fact it appears that for both the Republican-led Congress and the clowns in the White House, ignorance is seen as a kind of strength.

Examples abound, per Krugman.

We see this on legal matters: In a widely quoted analysis, the legal expert Benjamin Wittes described the infamous executive order on refugees as “malevolence tempered by incompetence,” and noted that the order reads “as if it was not reviewed by competent counsel at all” — which is a good way to lose in court . . .

We see it on national security matters, where the president continues to rely on a chief adviser who, suspicious closeness to the Kremlin aside, appears to get his strategic information from right-wing conspiracy theorists . . . 

We see it on education, where the hearings for Betsy DeVos, the education secretary, revealed her to be completely ignorant about even the most elementary issues . . . We see it on diplomacy. How hard is it to ask someone from the State Department to make sure that the White House gets foreign leaders’ names right?

Too hard, apparently: Before the Abe flub, the official agenda for the state visit by Theresa May, the British prime minister, repeatedly misspelled her name.

Air strikes continued to target Islamic State (Isis) positions near the Kurdish town of Kobani and hubs across north-east Syria on Sunday, as the terror group moved towards a new alliance with Syria’s largest al-Qaida group that could help offset the threat from the air.

Jabhat al-Nusra, which has been at odds with Isis for much of the past year, vowed retaliation for the US-led strikes, the first wave of which a week ago killed scores of its members. Many al-Nusra units in northern Syria appeared to have reconciled with the group, with which it had fought bitterly early this year.

A senior source confirmed that al-Nusra and Isis leaders were now holding war planning meetings. While no deal has yet been formalized, the addition of at least some al-Nusra numbers to Isis would strengthen the group’s ranks and extend its reach at a time when air strikes are crippling its funding sources and slowing its advances in both Syria and Iraq.

Al-Nusra, which has direct ties to al-Qaida’s leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, called the attacks a “war on Islam” in an audio statement posted over the weekend. A senior al-Nusra figure told the Guardian that 73 members had defected to Isis last Friday alone and that scores more were planning to do so in coming days.

“We are in a long war,” al-Nusra’s spokesman, Abu Firas al-Suri, said on social media platforms. “This war will not end in months nor years, this war could last for decades.”

Syria: Meet Chechclearr, the Web-savvy foreign Islamic militant in Syria - by Nabih Bulos and Patrick J. McDonnel

He loves sushi, AK-47s and rocket-propelled grenades.

He could be killed at any moment but vows to marry "a beautiful, righteous Muslim girl" as soon as he finds one.

He proclaims a "love for justice" but defends beheadings, battlefield executions and sectarian killing. He scorns democracy and extols a fundamentalist interpretation of sharia, or Islamic law.

Welcome to the virtual world of Chechclearr, the Internet handle of a self-described Islamic militant who says he is fighting as an Islamist rebel in Syria but also has time to post a copious amount of pictures and comments on the Internet. Although his identity cannot be independently verified, the many images he has posted appear authentic.

Militants in Syria have long made extensive use of social media, releasing statements on Twitter and on Facebook pages associated with various groups. Chechclearr is one of a number of Islamist fighters taking the time to document their experiences and impressions in English.
