Denmark: 3 injured in Copenhagen shopping center shooting

Three people have been wounded in a Copenhagen shopping center shooting incident, according to Danish media quoting the police.

Local TV 2 spoke to a witness who said security forces were in the building, with weapons drawn. "The guards shouted at us to get to safety, because there was shooting," the witness said.

The shooting was reported to have happened in the shopping center's car park at around noon local time.
Eight people were responsible for the violence at the Fields shopping mall, and they appear to be “two groups who clashed,” Michael Andersen of the Copenhagen police told the Rittzau news agency.

Fields is in the Danish capital’s Amager district and is not only the largest shopping center in Denmark, but one of the biggest in Scandinavia.

Further details are expected soon.

Libya Government to Integrate Former Revolutionaries

Libya's transitional government said on Sunday that as of next month it will begin to register thousands of former rebel fighters who helped to overthrow the former regime of Muammar Gaddafi in an eight-month long armed struggle in order to integrate them within the security services.

Libya's interim defence minister, Osama al-Juwaili made the announcement on Sunday, as the transitional government will be testing the government's ability to get the rebel leaders to relinquish command of their fighters.

Planning minister Issa al-Tuijer said the plan calls for all former rebels, many of whom are still organised in disparate militias, to register and make clear if they want to join the national security forces.
