Bulgaria, Romania Work Together for Kids Protection
While both waiting on the threshold of the EU, Bulgaria and Romania have committed to work shoulder to shoulder for the protection of their children. The two countries' labour ministries are to sign a letter today of intent, which is part of the Bulgarian social project for promotion of children well-being.
The project focuses on setting a mechanism for management and decentralization of child social services, introducing a system for monitoring and control, as well for launching an information system. The decision of Sofia and Bucharest to work together was made earlier in May this year in Sinaia, Romania.The official ceremony today will be attended by Romanian State Secretary and Chief of the State Agency for Child Protection Bogdan Panait and Bulgarian Deputy Social Minister Ivanka Hristova.
