"European shares slip, euro at record high vs yen

European stocks dipped on Tuesday after Wall Street failed to sustain a rally, while the euro surged to a record high versus the yen as strong growth boosted expectations for further European Central Bank rate hikes.
Oil prices slipped for the second day towards $73 a barrel as a fragile truce held between Israel and Lebanon, allaying fears of a prolonged war that might spread further and disrupt oil supplies. "
