US Army to Examine Iraq Contracts - intended for Iraqi security forces ended up being used for murders and other violent crimes in Turkey.

Among the contracts to be reviewed by the Army are awards to former Halliburton subsidiary KBR, which has received billions of dollars since 2001 to be a major provider of food and shelter services to U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Democrats in the US Congress have claimed that KBR, formerly known as Kellogg Brown and Root, benefited from ties to Vice President Dick Cheney, who once led Halliburton Co., the Houston-based oil services conglomerate, and congressional Republicans. You write this like it is news. Who's kidding who here? This has been going on forever, granted maybe more in the Bush administration, but it's been the status quo since at least WWII.
Besides, no matter what they find what will be done about it? NOTHING! That's what. It will be mentioned in political speeches by the Dem candidates but that's where it will end.
We've heard it all before and the powers that be do nothing. If someone tris to make a big deal out of it, as they rightfully should, they will be given no press coverage and their facts will be obliterated with rhetoric. Just ask guys like Ralph Nader abou that.
And where's the outrage over the Hum-Vee fiasco. There has been a safer vehicle available since the beginning of this "war" and our soldiers continue to be issued inferior vehicles because a "contract" was awarded to the wrong company.
America, I love it ... but for the love of God, is there anyone that cares anymore?
