US economic meltdown: At Democratic fundraiser Obama accused by conservatives for blaming Bush, Europe, instead of himself for reduction US credit rating

The US Conservative publication Examiner reported President Obama blamed Bush and the situation in Europe for his own failures.

Reuters reports that the President told attendees at a $15,000 per family fundraiser on Monday that he inherited many of the problems he now faces from the previous administration.

It is true Republicans say that he inherited the war on terror, but he also inherited a AAA credit rating. Thanks to his own reckless spending, however, he racked up more debt than the first 40 Presidents combined, and the U.S. lost its stellar credit rating.

Note EU-Digest: The report by the Examiner shows once again the "shallow" argumentations applied by conservatives in the US. The fact is that Mr. Obama inherited a gigantic 1.3 trillion debt from the Bush Administration only two years ago. The US would probably also have been able to keep their triple A rating if the Republicans and their T-Party cohorts had accepted Obama's proposed  long term cost cutting program which included a balance of cost reductions and increased taxes on more wealthy US citizens. Republicans also seem to forget that the Bush Administration inherited their triple A rating from the Democratic President Clinton's Administration which, when they passed the baton to President Bush, provided them with a US budget which had a 0 deficit.
