Richard Branson has become the latest prominent figure in the industry to be accused of sexual assault. Speaking with The Sun, Antonia Jenae — a backup-singer for British songstress Joss Stone — claims the Virgin CEO assaulted her during a party on his private island in the British Virgin Islands in 2010, during which he “motorboated” her in her cleavage while making engine noises. “His behaviour was disgusting. I feel like it was sexual assault,” she said. “We were by the bar and he was saying bye to everyone. He came up to me and put his face in my breasts. He went ‘brrrrrr’ and just walked away. It was surreal, totally out of the blue. Joss and I were like, ‘What the hell was that?!’ Everyone was wondering why I wasn’t angry because I’m usually a firebrand. But I was just too shocked.”

Although Jenae claims many people witnessed the assault, Branson’s representatives have issued an statement that denies any wrongdoing on his part. “Everyone appeared to enjoy their time,” the statement reads, according to The Telegraph. “Richard has no recollection of this matter. Neither do his family and friends who were with him at the time. There would never have been any intention to offend or make anyone feel uncomfortable. Richard apologises if anyone felt that way.”

Note EU-Digest: Come on now, this is becoming ridiculous - Branson not only had his family around him, during that so-called "incident", but it is also a well known fact that he is not known as a "women chaser", or a so-called "sexual predator".   As a matter of fact he is known by many as a real family man. On their 4Oth anniversary he wrote to his wife: 'Thank you for making life extraordinary. Your eyes are still as magic as they were 40 years ago' . Once again, the corporate controlled media, which is in business to make a profit, whatever it takes, is going on steroids in blowing up these stories out of proportion.

With a sonic boom that resounded above the Mojave Desert, a rocket plane belonging to British billionaire Richard Branson's commercial space venture Virgin Galactic got one step closer to carrying tourists into space.

On Monday the company's SpaceShipTwo ignited its rocket motor in mid-flight for the first time and sped to Mach 1.2, faster than sound, reaching about 56,000 feet in altitude.

The test flight is the biggest milestone in Virgin Galactic's 8 1/2-year endeavor to be the world's first commercial space liner, which would make several trips a day carrying scores of paying customers into space for a brief journey.

Branson first hoped he would blast tourists into space by 2007, but the date has repeatedly slipped. Space experts wonder whether even 2014 is too ambitious. Virgin Galactic still needs to clear regulatory hurdles, particularly satisfying safety concerns with the Federal Aviation Administration.

Marco A. Caceres, space analyst for the aerospace research firm Teal Group Corp. of Fairfax, Va., said that he wouldn't be surprised if there was a delay beyond 2014, but that the key is not one single launch. He said Virgin Galactic needs to get into a routine of launching multiple times a year.

Virgin Galactic Tourist Spaceship will blast off in 2013

Virgin chief Richard Branson has put a calculate frame on his plan to launch tourists into interval, claiming he and his family will burn a trail for hundreds of fare-paying passengers by blasting off in December 2013.

Branson also announced with the intention of Virgin Galactic, his fledgling money-making space company, was expanding to contain a satellite-launching service with the intention of would use a low-cost rocket logic to propel payloads into orbit.

The British industrialist said his adult children, Holly and Sam, would accompany him on enter the SpaceShipTwo on its pioneering two-hour trek into sub-orbital space.

Visitors to the Farnborough International Airshow 2012 were yesterday given a glimpse of Sir Richard Branson’s space travel dream courtesy of Virgin Galactic, the world's first commercial spaceline.

In typical bold Branson style, the multi-millionaire boss of Virgin Atlantic and founder of Virgin Galactic unveiled LauncherOne, a new new air-launched rocket specifically designed to deliver small satellites into orbit.

With substantial funding already raised from Virgin Galactic's partner aabar Investments PJS, commercial flights of this new orbital launch vehicle are expected to begin by 2016.

Omar Kbiri en Lennard Hulsbos, two Dutch college students, hitched a last-minute ride to Washington from Amsterdam on the private jet of British entrepreneur Richard Branson, chairman of Virgin Airways and joined the record crowd there hailing in the Barack Obama era.

Branson was a guest speaker at an Amsterdam congress and participants were able to ask questions by sending text messages from their mobile phones, which were shown on a large screen. Unexpectedly the following question came, "Will you take along two poor students to Obama?" the students' text message read, to which Branson immediately said yes. The two students returned to the Netherlands today following their 48 hour US adventure and in a press conference said the flight with Richard Branson and the inaugural festivities in Washington was something they will never forget as long as they live. While the students were in Washington, many prominent Dutch politicians and journalists attended a special Obama inauguration party thrown by Job Cohen, the Mayor of Amsterdam at his official residence. The Mayor's staff served hot dogs and mini hamburgers to politicians from the left and the right of the Dutch political spectrum as they watched the inauguration on a big screen. The Stars and Stripes was also hoisted above the 16th century Old Church in the middle of the capital's red light district. Obama's inauguration had rehabilitated the US's reputation in the Netherlands, at least for now.

Richard Branson sits on the top-ten list of the United Kingdom's richest citizens, with an estimated wealth of roughly eight billion dollars. As the company he founded -- Virgin Group -- tries to expand its airline operations into the United States, Branson is committing billions of dollars of the company's future profits to developing renewable energy.

In February, Branson announced the Virgin Earth Challenge, a $25 million prize for the person who develops a working solution to remove greenhouse gases from the Earth's atmosphere. "To devise a way of removing greenhouse gases, at least the equivalent of one billion tons of carbon per year -- hopefully much more, and you will have the satisfaction of saving thousands of species and possibly even mankind itself."
