Chirac and Blair Arrange Agenda for European Union Summit
French President Jacques Chirac and European Union President pro tempore British PM Tony Blair try to smooth differences on the EU 2007-2013 budget for the month's end special summit of the European Union and December Summit. The issue placed both statesmen at odds from last June, especially expenses, as London refuses to renounce to some funds and divert them from education, science and technology Paris calls to subsidize agriculture. Both cling to their positions but they will try to come to terms before the meetings although they admit to the on going polemic but the important thing is to come to terms, they both said in separate releases. The meetings will also approach, among other, the challenges ahead for all 25 members and social reforms.
