Hundreds in Germany demonstrate against far right
Police say several hundred people have peacefully protested against a march by a Germany's leading far-right party in the central city of Fulda. Fulda police estimate 600 people turned out to protest a march attended by about 150 supporters of the far-right National Democratic Party. The party is also known by its German initials as the NPD. Police used helicopters to monitor the protest, which came a day before ceremonies marking the 70th anniversary of the Nazis "Kristallnacht" or "Night of Broken Glass" pogroms that destroyed synagogues, Jewish homes and businesses.
