Asked on a talk show broadcast by Belgrade-based broadcaster Pink on whether Serbia should get a date for the start of EU accession talks, Asp said that Serbia is on the road to full membership in the EU and it definitely deserved to get a clear decision on the opening of the negotiations at the end of the month.
The Swedish ambassador said that furniture producer IKEA is ""on track to open a firm in Serbia" - an investment of over one billion euros.
Asp said that many Swedish companies are interested in Serbia and it is therefore important the Serbian government gradually removes that which foreign investors view as obstacles to investment.
Asp also said that H&M, a Swedish global fashion brand, should come to Serbia soon.
