Thomas Müller opened Germany’s account in the 15th minute with a marvellous shot from just in front of the penalty area. He was totally unmarked and the keeper didn’t have a chance. Miroslav Klose’s goal in the 26th minute was a brilliant header and - again - the Dutch keeper didn’t stand a chance.
The third goal was beautiful, with the Germans taking advantage of - another - Dutch mistake, charging forward, dissecting the defence and ending - after a lovely one-two with Klose - with Mesut Özil tapping the ball into an empty net.
Germany appear to have perfected the 4-2-3-1 formation and any team preparing for Euro 2012 had better watch out, Jogi Löw’s team is looking really good.
