Rudy Maxa, a longtime travel writer, currently contributing to the National Geographic Traveler magazine takes a closer look at the accident of the Concordia cruise ship just off the coast of Italy.
The Costa Concordia is an Italian cruise line owned by Carnival. The company is already forecast to take a $90 million hit since the boat will be out of use for the rest of the year. The Italy cruise ship disaster comes during one of the busiest times of year for the cruise industry.
