"Germany eyes France nervously over EU treaty bid

BERLIN (Reuters) - German officials are looking nervously towards neighbouring France, concerned that a looming presidential campaign there could cloud Berlin's bid to get the European Union's stalled constitution back on track next year.
Segolene Royal, who emerged as France's Socialist candidate for president on Thursday night after handily defeating two rivals in a primary, is a source of particular unease within the German coalition of conservatives and Social Democrats (SPD)."
