Europe's Economic Growth Probably Accelerated in Third Quarter - by Fergal O'Brienr
Economic growth in Europe probably accelerated in the third quarter because of a rebound in companies' investment in factories and equipment, a survey of economists shows. The economy of the 13 nations that share the euro may have expanded 0.6 percent from the second quarter, when it grew 0.3 percent, according to the median estimate of 41 economists in a Bloomberg News survey. The European Union's statistics office is scheduled to publish the figures at 11 a.m. today in Luxembourg.
