Record of 30,000 people expected to attend World Water Forum in Turkey
A record of some 30,000 people will attend the upcoming World Water Forum in Turkey, a senior Turkish official said on Saturday. A total of 30,000 people have registered until now, including 17,000 people abroad, to participate in the 5th World Water Forum, which is to kick off in the biggest Turkish city of Istanbul on Monday, said Sumru Noyan, a senior official of Turkish Foreign Ministry. The week-long forum, with the theme of "Bridging Divides for Water," offers a wide range of activities from heads of state summits to multi-shareholder topic discussions, from Water Expo to water fair, according to the organizers.
