European Aircraft Industry: Airbus lands record aircraft order, valued at €20 billion (US$26b) from India

Airbus received a record aircraft order from Indian budget carrier IndiGo, which said it would buy 250 single-aisle planes.

IndiGo's order for the 250 Airbus A320neo jets would be worth nearly $26 billion based on list prices, though airlines typically negotiate significant discounts on large orders like this one.

Regardless, for Airbus, Reuters says Wednesday's deal would "rank as the largest single order of jets from the European planemaker."
