South Africa -Africa-Europe business matchmaking event applauded
A resounding success, this was what businesses from Europe and the SADC region, attending the MAT Construct 2005 event held last week over four days at Emperor's Palace on Gauteng's east rand, thought of this year's event. Some 258 people attended the event from countries as diverse as Spain and Namibia, and over 700 meetings were held between companies, some walking away with firm commitments to do business in the new year. There is also an interest in a similar event that enabled companies in the construction and materials sector to come together and share knowledge. And, as one delegate put it, with Africa growing at sustainable levels, there is a gold-mine of business to be done on the continent.
