Will Arab oil producers use an oil embargo to force a cease-fire in Lebanon?- by Rick Morren
St.Stephen CND, August 9. "Walking along the corridors of the United Nations this week you hear the term "oil embargo" used more and more by Middle East diplomats. It seems some of the Middle East oil producing nations are now discussing the possibility of a step-by-step reduction in oil production to enforce Lebanese demands for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon and departure of Israeli forces from the country.
Obviously the question now arises if the Middle East oil producing Nations have what it takes to do so. Many insiders believe they don't. However, if they do, it would certainly greatly change the playing field for the Israeli's and Americans."
