MAS places US$3.6b firm order for Airbus aircraft

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has placed a firm order for 15 A330-300 wide-body aircraft and two A330-200F freighters, at a list price of about US$3.6bil.

Managing director and chief executive officer Tengku Datuk Azmil Zahruddin said the list price of each aircraft was about US$170mil. The cost, however, does not include options for another 10 A330-300 aircraft and two A330-200F freighters.
