François Fillon comprehensively won the second
round of the centre-right presidential primary defeating Alain Juppé by a
wide margin. Partial results showed him winning 67 per cent of the vote
with results counted from 9000 odd polling stations out of 10,229.
“France wants the truth and
France wants action,” he told cheering supporters following Juppé’s
concession speech, promising to “reach out to all those who want to
