Doctors, hospital workers strike in Norway
OSLO, Norway (UPI) -- Hundreds of hospital workers struck four major hospitals in Norway Thursday, halting all but essential services, officials said.
Doctors, technicians, psychologists and other professionals struck University Hospital of Northern Norway in Tromso and Ulleval University Hospital, Rikshospitalet-Radium Hospital and Aker University Hospital in Oslo, the Aftenposten newspaper reported.
Emergency surgery, child services, psychiatry and cancer treatment will not be affected, hospital and union officials said.
